  3. FIV1 = forced inspiratory volume in 1 second
  4. IC = inspiratory capacity (L)
  5. FIF50 = forced inspiratory flow at 50% of the vital capacity (L/s)
  6. PIF = peak inspiratory flow (L/s)
  7. ∆ = changes in initial values of lung function parameters when reaching the PD20 endpoint
  8. A higher VAS score denotes a higher degree of dyspnea
