Expanding our Editorial Board

BMC Research Notes is recruiting new Associate Editors to join the Editorial Board. We have expanded the journal’s scope to include all scientific and clinical disciplines and are looking to increase our Editorial Board to accommodate new subject areas.

In particular, we encourage researchers with a background in one or several of the below disciplines to apply.

We are interested in individuals who are committed to open access, data sharing and innovation in scientific publishing. An Associate Editor for BMC Research Notes should be willing to handle a minimum of 10 manuscripts per year across a range of disciplines within their broader subject area.

Who are we looking for?

For us, a suitable Associate Editor for BMC Research Notes can be described as someone who

·         Supports the journal’s scope and direction and is committed advocate and represent BMC Research Notes within the scientific community.

·         Is curious and interested in handling manuscripts across a range of topics and enjoys the exposure to a great breadth of interesting research. Associate Editors are assigned to manuscripts within their broad area of experience but not necessarily in their own immediate subspecialty.

·         Enjoys reading short publication formats such as note article types and to make editorial decisions based on high quality reviewer reports.
