  1. Descriptive statistics of nine candidate reference genes based on their cycle threshold (Ct) values. In the last column the BestKeeper (BI) index is computed together with the same descriptive parameters for nine genes. Abbreviations: n number of observations, CV [%Ct] the coefficient of variance expressed as a percentage on the Ct level, SD [± Ct] the standard deviation of the Ct. Results from overall tissues irrespective of stimulation, non-stimulated control and different stimulations (LPS, LTA and LPS + LTA) are shown
