Variation values were determined using from 2/3 up to 13/14 reference gene comparisons in cultured stromal cells (A), cultured epithelial cells (B), stromal tissues (C), and epithelial tissues (D). Pairwise variation values of ≤0.15 were considered sufficient for normalization, values above 0.15 are considered too variable.
