In vivo calibration of SBFI. The in vivo calibration of SBFI was accomplished by exposing the myocytes to various extracellular [Na+]. Between 0 and 20 mM [Na+]i, the SBFI fluorescence ratio (F340/F380) showed a linear relationship with [Na+]i (coefficient correlation (R2) = 0.995, P = 0.0001).
