3D-scan of Synechocystis PCC6803 wt (a) and ethanol producer (b) and Synechococcus PCC7002 wt (c) and ethanol producer (d). The samples were excited with wavelengths between 350 – 680 nm and the fluorescent emission of cells is monitored. Between wt and ethanol producer a clear difference in the emission spectrum was observed at 650 – 680 nm (indicated with arrows).
