The three-dimensional radiotherapy for the rectal-shelf mass (a) Dose distribution for the three-dimensional radiotherapy plan for the metastatic myxoid liposarcoma, with a maximum size of 9.1 cm in the rectovesical pouch. The patient underwent salvage radiotherapy at a dose of 40 Gy delivered in 20 fractions of 2 Gy over 4 weeks between September and October 2012. (b) A computed tomography scan, obtained in November 2012 after completion of radiotherapy, showed that the metastatic mass had decreased by 6.9 cm in size. (c) A computed tomography scan, obtained in May 2013, showed that the mass had decreased by 4.0 cm in size.
