PBS 16 8.11 0.15
Conjugate alone 13 7.38 0.16 0.01
Conjugate + CpG 14 7.55 0.15 <0.05

  1. Combined results from two experiments using Ross 308 broiler chicks from the same source and following the same experimental protocol. Chickens were vaccinated subcutaneously at 7 and 21 days post-hatch with capsular polysaccharide conjugate vaccine with or without CpG or Addavax™ as adjuvant, or received PBS as a placebo. Birds were challenged at 29 days post-hatch and necropsied at 38 days post-hatch.
