Effect of adjuvant system onIL-6 levels of combined and individual antigens. Balb/C mice (n = 10 mice per group) were immunized subcutaneously with 109 CFU of formalin killed whole cell antigens. We used antigens of the above-mentioned five-diarrheagenic E. coli pathotypes. Combined vaccine candidate consisted of formalin-killed whole cell antigens of the main five pathotypes. The concentrations of interleukin 6 were monitored at these intervals.
