Serum cortisol in 30 dogs undergoing ovariohysterectomy. Asterisk serum cortisol concentration at recall was significantly decrease compared to before surgery (p = 0.009). No significant differences were seen between before surgery and 3 h after extubation (p = 0.73) and between 3 h after extubation and at recall (p = 0.06)
