A flowchart representing consecutive steps in the acute toxicity test. A starting dose of 5 mg/kg body weight was administered and the insects were scored for mortality. If the mortality was over 40%, the compound was assigned the highest toxicity class. If the mortality is below 40%, the dose was re-tested and the testing continued until a toxic dose was established
