However, its burden and factors were not investigated in Mettu district. Therefore, the objective of our study was to conduct the burden of prelacteal feeding and its associated factors. Community-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 730 mother–child pairs. Stratified cluster sampling was used. Data were collected by face- to- face interview.
