E-IVIG pools can promote opsonophagocytic uptake of S. aureus and VRE. S. aureus E-IVIG (a) promotes uptake of USA300, and VRE E-IVIG (b) promotes uptake of clinical VRE isolate H1548 (both E-IVIGs, black bars) compared with commercial IVIG (white bars), used at equal concentrations. Neutrophil uptake of bacteria in the absence of any IVIG is shown by the horizontal dotted line (PBS only).
