IL-17 receptor (IL-17R) can bind to IL-17A, IL-17F or IL-17A/F to activate various signaling pathways leading to the regulation of IL-17 targets genes involved in tissue remodeling and anti-microbial activity as well as mediators of inflammation as adapted from [15, 20].
