Cell cycle distributions in yeast cells treated with propionic acid. Cells were exposed to propionic acid, nonanal, or a no-treatment control before staining with propidium iodide to assess DNA content by flow cytometry. Percentage of cells in each cell cycle phase was calculated using ModFit LT.
