Comparison of total number of newly-generated cells in FLX-treated and control mice. The numbers of new neurons and astrocytes were changed by FLX, but that of oligodendrocytes was not changed. These numbers of neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes were the same as in Fig. 2. The total number of newly-generated cells was almost unchanged, compared with both groups (n = 4 mice each).
