The probiotic activity of Lactobacillus gasseri against Candida albicans showed in initial adhesion assays. Inhibition of C. albicans by L. gasseri after initial adhesion treatments with the experimental setting of high and low inoculum in the glass surface. The percentage of adhesion of C. albicans is the result of the variation in the adhesion of L. gasseri and C. albicans strains to coverslip in comparison to controls (CT, 100% of adhesion) when incubated alone at the same conditions.
