Machine learning in medicine: Models, tools, and datasets

This retrospective article collection was edited by Dr Saif Aldeen AlRyalat.

Machine learning and its derivative, deep learning, revolutionized diagnostic medicine and led to new applications and capabilities for existing diagnostic and prognostic tools. Recent years led to significant advances in machine learning models, which usually can be used for different specialties. Models need well curated datasets to be trained on, and the data need several pre-processing and organization steps. This collection provided valuable tools, datasets, and projects that used machine and deep learning methods in different specialties during the last two years.

This collection was published 25 February 2021.
