Measurement of enzyme activity in E. coli TOP 10 and pBy cells at pH 5, pH 6 or pH 7. E. coli TOP 10 and pBy cells were incubated with L-arabinose, MnCl₂, and sodium oxalate at pH 5, pH 6, or pH 7 and the oxalate-degrading activity of OXDC in the supernatants was determined by an oxalate kit. Cells were incubated for 16 hours (A) and 24 hours (B).
